Black Pearl Announced as a Planner's Choice Award Winner
We are incredibly honored to share that the Black Pearl on the Columbia has been named a Planner’s Choice Award winner by Unique Venues. Being recognized by the people who know this industry inside and out by planning, managing, and executing events every day makes this award especially meaningful to our entire team.
The Planner’s Choice Awards celebrate standout venues across the country, recognizing excellence throughout categories that reflect how events actually come together in real life. The Black Pearl has been named as the 2025 Best Mid-Size Venue which perfectly fits for our 12,600 sq. ft. open-concept space that has hosted thousands of people (both members of our local community as well as new friends from a multitude of zip codes across America) since we opened our doors in 2018.
What sets these awards apart is who chooses the winners. Event planners nominate and vote based on firsthand experience. These are the professionals who manage timelines, troubleshoot logistics, collaborate with venues teams, and ensure guests have the best experience possible. Their perspective comes from long days, tight turnarounds, and high expectations. To be recognized by this group of powerhouse individuals is both humbling and deeply rewarding.
For us, this award reflects the relationships we have built with planners over time. We know that great events are the result of trust, communication, and flexibility. Every event is different, and planners rely on venues that can adapt, problem-solve, and support their vision without unnecessary friction.
